{"id":54768,"date":"2025-01-23T09:51:07","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T09:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.innovationnewsnetwork.com\/?p=54768"},"modified":"2025-01-23T09:51:07","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T09:51:07","slug":"how-centennial-college-is-transforming-sustainable-energy-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.innovationnewsnetwork.com\/how-centennial-college-is-transforming-sustainable-energy-systems\/54768\/","title":{"rendered":"How Centennial College is transforming sustainable energy systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centennialcollege.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centennial\u2019s College\u2019s<\/a> programme in energy systems brings college faculty and students together with industrial partners to develop innovative solutions in the areas of renewable energy, energy optimisation, and long-term energy storage.<\/h2>\n<p>Our current projects include the development of low-cost solar power packs, residential-scale microgrid controllers, and smart electric vehicle (EV) charging plugs, with project partners including Microgreen Solar, New Dawn Energy Solutions, and Elocity Technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Our research approach is based on close collaboration with our partners, from initial concept development to execution to delivery and project closeout. We use industry-standard project management techniques to monitor progress and ensure project success.<\/p>\n<p>Our work is supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) College and Community Innovation (CCI) program\u2019s Innovation Enhancement grant, and leveraged funding is available for projects with eligible industry partners.<\/p>\n<h3>Energy audits by Centennial<\/h3>\n<p>Centennial\u2019s comprehensive energy audit evaluates your operations\u2019 current energy consumption and identifies potentially energy-efficient alternatives.<\/p>\n<p>We measure, assess, evaluate and analyse energy performance based on professional protocols and standards such as ASHRAE, ISO, IPMVP.
