Here, Speira\u2019s first sustainability label comes into play, closing the circle: ORBIS, Latin for \u2018circle\u2019, is based on the closed-loop concept and stands for maximum transparency.<\/p>\n<p>Our approach to the rather vague definition of recycled content is sharp: Only external scrap counts and contributes to recycled content.<\/p>\n<p>We differentiate between internal scrap that has been kept in our value chain for internal reprocessing and scrap from external sources outside Speira (including our value chain with our joint venture operations) without accounting for emissions that occurred somewhere in the history of this metal.<\/p>\n<p>This way, we aim to track the physical reality of emissions as closely as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, our primary goal is to reduce carbon emissions.
