The university benefited from numerous large-scale, interdisciplinary research grants provided by provincial and federal funding agencies alongside industry partners.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, there was a notable increase in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/about-au_sujet\/collaboration\/tri-agency_funding_programs-programmes_financement_trois_organismes-eng.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tri-Council funding<\/a>, which includes grants and support from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).<\/p>\n<h3>Collaborative efforts and diverse sources<\/h3>\n<p>The record research funding also reflects increased financial support from other government, international, and industry sources.<\/p>\n<p>These funds were secured through the collaborative efforts of USask&#8217;s Government Relations and University Relations bodies, emphasising the university&#8217;s strong network and partnerships.<\/p>\n<h3>Wide-ranging impact across the university<\/h3>\n<p>The research funding is distributed across all USask colleges, affiliated research centres, and a variety of expertise areas.<\/p>\n<p>This financial boost supports both new and ongoing research projects, enhancing the university&#8217;s research infrastructure and ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>This investment ensures that USask continues to be at the forefront of innovative research and development.<\/p>\n<p>Baljit Singh, PhD, USask Vice-President Research, added: &#8220;Crossing the threshold of $400m in awarded research funding in a single year for the first time shows the strength of USask&#8217;s continually growing research landscape.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This success is a testament to the researchers, staff, and faculty who have worked hard in our pursuit of innovation in the heart of Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sky is truly the limit for both new and existing research, scholarly and artistic work on this campus and in this province, and I am excited to keep this momentum moving forward into the years to
