{"id":45704,"date":"2024-03-25T15:05:12","date_gmt":"2024-03-25T15:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.innovationnewsnetwork.com\/?p=45704"},"modified":"2024-03-25T15:05:12","modified_gmt":"2024-03-25T15:05:12","slug":"pulsar-helium-receives-positive-wireline-log-results-for-jetstream-1-appraisal-well","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.innovationnewsnetwork.com\/pulsar-helium-receives-positive-wireline-log-results-for-jetstream-1-appraisal-well\/45704\/","title":{"rendered":"Pulsar Helium receives positive wireline log results for Jetstream #1 appraisal well"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pulsarhelium.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pulsar Helium<\/a> has announced it has received the wireline log interpretation from Asia-Pacific Formation Evaluation Services Pty Ltd for the Jetstream #1 appraisal well at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pulsarhelium.com\/helium-projects\/topaz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Topaz helium project<\/a> in Minnesota.<\/h2>\n<p>A predominantly gas-saturated interval between 1,650 and 2,200 feet at the Jetstream #1 appraisal well has been interpreted, containing discrete zones where productive permeability appears to occur.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.innovationnewsnetwork.com\/pulsar-initiates-jetstream-1-appraisal-well-drilling-at-topaz-helium-project\/42984\/\">Drilling observations<\/a> and log data interpretation suggest the presence of permeable zones in the form of fracture and\/or vuggy porosity within the host igneous rock.<\/p>\n<p>Additional wireline data is scheduled to be acquired when Jetstream #1 is being prepared for the upcoming pressure build-up and flow testing operation.<\/p>\n<h3>Jetstream #1: A capable helium production well<\/h3>\n<p>The Jetstream #1 appraisal well reached a total depth of 2,200 feet on 27 February and has been designed to include intermediate casing and a wellhead capable of becoming a helium production well.<\/p>\n<p>On 14 March, Pulsar Helium announced concentrations of up to 13.8% helium measured by specialist gas laboratories, and on 28 February, Baker Hughes collected a high-quality set of wireline logs.<\/p>\n<p>The logs, in conjunction with cuttings lithology descriptions, X-ray fluorescence and mud log data, were interpreted by an independent petrophysicist at Asia-Pacific Formation Evaluation Services Pty Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>Notable conclusions from the independent petrophysical review of the Jetstream #1 appraisal well are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A high-quality formation evaluation data set was acquired<\/li>\n<li>Reliable mineralogy and total porosity models have been established<\/li>\n<li>Saturation and the nature of the pore system are uncertain from these results, but productivity appears to be associated with larger-scale discrete porosity features such as fractures and vugs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional log testing will be required<\/h3>\n<p>Not all desired wireline data could be acquired by Baker Hughes due to a lack of fluid level in the borehole, and as a result, additional logs are planned to further assess reservoir characteristics and the porosity types prior to the well testing programme.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, to refine the petrophysical interpretation further, the Company is having additional lab analysis performed on the drill cuttings and the LOD-6 (2011 discovery well) drill core.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Abraham-James, President and CEO of Pulsar Helium, said: \u201cWe are delighted to receive these initial positive results from the Jetstream #1 appraisal well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are acquiring the complementary wireline log data, pressure and flow tests, and additional lab results as part of our ongoing testing programme and look forward to updating shareholders as we progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Update on flow-testing and pressure build-up programme<\/h3>\n<p>Pulsar is awaiting the lifting of Spring road restrictions. It will then commence a well testing package that includes flow testing and pressure build-up programme, collect pressurised gas samples for laboratory analysis and install production tubing.<\/p>\n<p>This programme will now be expanded to include additional wireline data acquisition as recommended by Asia-Pacific Formation Evaluation Services Pty
