Funding for 11 major projects to produce green hydrogen have been backed by the UK Government.<\/h2>\n

Energy Security Secretary Claire Coutinho has announced \u00a32bn in government funding for 11 green hydrogen production projects. Through the backing, suppliers will also receive a guaranteed price from the government for the clean energy supplied.<\/p>\n

This represents the largest number of commercial-scale green hydrogen production projects announced at once in Europe.<\/p>\n

Coutinho said: \u201cHydrogen<\/a> presents a massive economic opportunity for the UK, unlocking over 12,000 jobs and up to \u00a311bn of investment by 2030.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s announcement represents the largest number of commercial-scale green hydrogen production projects announced at once anywhere in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 11 green hydrogen projects will invest over \u00a3400m in the next three years. More than 700 jobs in local communities will be created, and 125MW of new hydrogen will be delivered to businesses, including:<\/p>\n
