With the European Green Deal, the European Union has declared its commitment to addressing climate change and environmental degradation; however, the transition to a sustainable and resource-efficient economy will require game-changing innovations. Graphene, a one-atom-thick layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice, shows outstanding properties that make it an attractive material for many applications. Some of these applications can be leveraged to create more environmentally-friendly technologies.<\/p>\n
